| • Ensure that contracts are carried out to budget, on time and to the satisfaction of the client. • Maintain up to date work programmes for the site and to compile all necessary management reports for the monthly project meetings. • Ensure that project reviews are organised and carried out satisfactorily, and ensure that subsequent project needs meet the clients’ requirements as defined in the contract and agreed specifications. • Ensure the effective use of project teams and their allocation to projects. • Provide the principal focal point for liaison with clients and sub-contractors. • Ensure that Hertel comply with the clients’ contractual requirements. • Ensure that, where applicable, clients’ contractual requirements are communicated to sub-contractors. • Ensure all personnel appointed to the project are Suitably Qualified and Experienced Personnel (SQEP). • Ensure that all personnel are appraised on an annual basis and their training and development needs are identified. • Approve and oversee staff training and development needs identified by the Safety & Training Manager. • Ensure the accuracy and timely submission of invoices to the client. • Ensure that invoices are settled in a timely manner. • Accurately determine the monthly work in progress and stock values. • Ensure that all accidents/incidents resulting from work being carried out by personnel under his/her charge are reported in a timely manner to the company and client. • Investigate such accidents, near misses, and dangerous occurrences as may be required by the client or company. • Ensure that all learning from accidents, near misses, and dangerous occurrences is properly disseminated to all parties. • Ensure the company fulfils its legal obligations with regard the provision of First Aid facilities, fire precautions, statutory tests, examinations, and inspections. • Ensure work is carried out in accordance with approved Safe Systems of Work, Work Authorisation Forms, the Employer’s Codes of Practice and legislative requirements. • Implement the company’s and the client’s policy and current legislation in particular activities that could affect safety, security, quality or the environment. • Participate in periodic safety audits, reviews, inspections, and associated meetings. • Implement the Employer’s policy and current legislation, in particular activities that could affect safety, security, quality, or the environment. • Maintain an awareness of decommissioning matters both at the Contract Area and Nationally. • Use systems of work provided by the Client to safeguard people, quality, security, and the environment. • Conform at all times to the requirements set out in the Hertel Health, Safety & Environmental Handbook.
