Main Job Purpose

• To assist with general day to day IT operations with emphasis on hardware maintenance, testing, distribution and disposal
• Ensuring IT systems are kept up-to-date

 

Duties & Responsibilities

• Testing and repair of hardware including, desktops, laptops and printers
• Maintain IT store area ensuring hardware is stored and organised and in a tidy manner
• Responsible for deliveries in and out of the department ensuring they are handled in line with department /safety procedures
• Maintain and update the IT Asset Management System in line with procedures and operational requirements
• Assist with PC imaging procedures including dumping / loading / archiving PC images.
• Disposal of hardware and equipment in line with regulations and recycling policy

 

Skills/Attributes Required

• Highly motivated with a strong general interest in IT hardware and software
• Excellent time keeping and organisational skills
• Hands on experience of handling and repairing IT hardware would be advantageous.
• Ability to work in an unsupervised in a fast paced environment is essential
• A willingness to learn new skills
